Bad drivers do cause accidents.
Whether it's a cell phone, Large Fries, eye make-up, or an argument with someone in the back seat....it's obviously too much for some drivers to handle

KenKen Matthewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12049605289130391681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5719343110473590925.post-35147163534325546042008-06-09T09:09:00.000-07:002008-06-09T09:09:00.000-07:00Regarding those who would text message and drive, ...Regarding those who would text message and drive, and the laws banning talking on cell phones while driving....

I have used a cell phone for about 12 years, and in that time I've also had a ~120 mile commute - each way - for pretty much every day.

Cell phones and TXTing do not cause accidents; bad drivers do. If you drive and TXT, you're asking for an accident. Same with if you fard while driving. Or eat, or read.

Bottom line: adding more laws to curb the use of technology won't help. Enforcing (and possibly modifying) the laws on the books for reckless driving will.

But that's just my opinion.... and while I don't TXT and drive, I spend about 4 hours each week, on the phone, driving.Charlie on the PA Turnpikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17590500198993017999noreply@blogger.com
