It was surreal...as it unfolded. A six year old boy...apparently piloting his wacky weather chaser dad's balloon ...uncontrollably thousands of feet above the earth. NORAD contacted. Army Air National Guard Helos scrambled for rescue....Wolf Blitzer trying to make sense of it all...perhaps for the first time in his career-

CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, CNN HeadLine NEWS- ALL TRACKING BALLOON-Boy

THERE on the screen LIVE...AS WELL AS SEVERAL TALK RADIO SHOWS- speculating. HOW WHO. a boy. six...in the belly of the beast. a helium balloon.....not meant for flight- or was it ? built for humans or was it. What kind of man builds something like this. Do we know the family ?
IS THE BOY ALIVE? HOW WILL HE SURVIVE ?

at one point the plan was to use the rotor wash of a US ARMY helicopter to steer the Balloon into safe airspace until it landed.

"it could be hours" said one-speculative goober.


At what altitude would he need an oxygen mask ? has he fallen out. I can't see him.
