Behold the most carefully thought out public statement I've read in quite some time;
released by Chairwoman Cynthia L Blaschak of the Cedar Crest Board of Trustees, in a press release:
"Jill came to Cedar Crest with impressive credentials and we had the highest hopes that she would be with us for some time. Her departure is regrettable. I wish Jill the very best."
regarding the departure of Cedar Crest college President Jill Sherman....after only 7 months.
WOW. THAT'S IT. THAT'S ALL? WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED PEOPLE? WILL WE EVER FIND OUT? HOW MUCH WAS SHE MAKING? WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER? DID SHE LEAVE ON HER OWN? IS SHE OK? IS THAT NOT A BIG POSITION AT A LOCAL LEARNING INSTITUION?
I KNOW IT'S NOT T.O. AND THE EAGLES.......holy schmoley
I'VE SEEN MORNING SHOWS ON WLEVradio LAST LONGER THAN 7 MONTHS( and they've had 9 shows since 1993)

I met Jill Sherman at orientation with our daughter and she seemed very enthusatic about her new position.
But I have to say, something isn't right with the way she abruptly departed and the, "TRUTH", should be told by the CCC board on what prompted this departure.
I have my suspicions, but the real story should come out soon.
This has taken me a while to investigate. As I understand from very reliable sources, two top CCC administrators were slated for dismissal by Jill Sherman. Unfortunately, former college president Dorothy Blaney had a habit of promoting people from within to ensure the utmost loyalty. These two had started at CCC as secretaries and would have been hardpressed to find jobs comparable to their current positions anywhere. So they were looking to get Jill Sherman out. They also had good relations with a prominent board member.
Their chance for a coup d'tat came when Jill began dating the director of facilities. You know how rumors can get out of control. And while renovations to the president's house had been approved by the Board, Jill and the facilities director together authorized $250K in renovations out of the general operating/capital budget. Which is a lot. That was the administrators' chance. Through contact with one board member, they managed to rile up the Board and get her dismissed over reckless spending. Jill Sherman did not leave of her own accord, although knowing CCC, they gave her a parachute.
